Installation and Commissioning
On-site installation of open and canopy type diesel generator sets from 10 kVA to 1100 kVA, from the layout survey through to the first start. Exhaust, ventilation, fuel and earthing runs are completed, the ATS is wired in and the set is tested under load.
Diesel Generator Installation and Commissioning
Whether a generator delivers its rated output on site depends largely on how it was installed. Nidexa installs and commissions open and canopy type sets from 10 kVA to 1100 kVA, assessing each location for space, ventilation potential and electrical supply, then running every step from mechanical layout to the first load test as one sequence.
Site Layout, Plinth and Vibration Isolation
Work starts by measuring the space and marking out the service clearances. Canopy or open frame dimensions determine door swing distances and the access needed for filter and oil changes. The plinth is prepared to carry the static and dynamic load of the set, and anti vibration mounts between skid and plinth limit how much engine vibration reaches the structure.
Exhaust, Ventilation, Fuel and Electrical Connections
Mechanical routing and electrical termination are worked out together: each directly affects how the other performs.
- Exhaust line: silencer selection, pipe insulation and outlet direction
- Ventilation: fresh air inlet area, hot air discharge duct and clearance in front of the radiator
- Fuel system: day tank position, supply and return line routing
- Earthing and neutral bonding matched to the earthing arrangement of the installation
- Power cabling sized for conductor cross section, run length and termination torques
- Automatic transfer switch (ATS) wired to both the mains side and the generator side
- Phase rotation, 400/230 V voltage and 50 Hz frequency measured at first start
- Oil, coolant and battery levels checked before the engine is cranked
Load Test, Transfer Trial and Handover
Commissioning is not finished until the set has been proven under load. The generator is loaded in steps while voltage and frequency response is observed, and a mains failure is simulated to trial the transfer to generator supply and the return to mains. Panel indications, alarm conditions and the manual start sequence are explained to the operating team. Installation is carried out across Turkey and on projects abroad, and after handover the set can join a planned maintenance programme within its 24 month warranty.
