Shanghai Dongfeng 450 kVA Diesel Generator
This 450 kVA diesel generating set is built on a body whose footprint can be planned long before delivery. The canopy version measures 4200 x 1500 x 2150 mm, while the open frame version occupies 3100 x 1500 mm, so door width, ceiling height and manoeuvring clearance in the generator room can be checked while the layout is still on paper. Standby output is 450 kVA / 360 kW and prime output is 410 kVA / 328 kW.
Engine
Power comes from an SDEC SC13H460D2. The inline six cylinder block displaces 12.8 litres, with a bore and stroke of 128 x 153 mm and a compression ratio of 16:1. A turbocharged, aftercooled intake cools the charge air before it reaches the cylinders. Fuel consumption is stated as 94 L/h at 100% load and 70.5 L/h at 75% load, two figures that feed directly into tank sizing and refuelling intervals.
Alternator and Electrical Data
The alternator output is 400/230 V at 50 Hz, three phase, rated at a power factor of 0.8. Windings use class H insulation and the enclosure carries IP23 protection. On the current side the set reaches 650 A at standby rating and 592 A at prime rating, and these values govern switchboard selection, cable cross section and breaker sizing.

The canopy version suits installations placed directly in an open yard or plant area; at 2150 mm tall, crane and forklift access should be measured in advance.
