Baudouin 72 kVA Diesel Generator

Laying out a generator starts with knowing exactly how much room it takes. In the canopy version this 72 kVA set occupies 2400 x 1000 x 1500 mm, while the open frame version sits on a 2100 x 1000 mm base, so the area reserved in a plant room, a technical space or on an outdoor pad can be fixed at the design stage. The set is rated at 72 kVA standby and 66 kVA prime, driven by a Baudouin 4M11G70/5 diesel engine.

Engine

The Baudouin 4M11G70/5 is a four cylinder inline diesel with a displacement of 4.5 litres. Bore and stroke are 105 x 130 mm and the compression ratio is 18:1. Turbocharged aspiration carries 57.6 kW of standby output and 52.8 kW of prime output. Fuel consumption is 14.5 litres per hour at full load and 10.9 litres per hour at 75 percent load.

Alternator and Electrical Data

The alternator runs at 400/230 V and 50 Hz across three phases, with a power factor of 0.8. Output current reaches 104 A in standby duty and 95 A in prime duty. The windings use class H insulation and the enclosure is rated IP23.

Installation and Use

With the canopy version, the 1500 mm height has to be checked against door openings and the clearance below ceilings and beams. The open frame version, with its 2100 x 1000 mm base, is intended for enclosed plant rooms. Both versions keep the same 1000 mm width, so side clearances for service access can be planned from a single figure. The set carries a 24 month warranty and its origin is Turkey.
