Yangdong 20 kVA Diesel Generator

The Yangdong 20 kVA diesel generator is built around a deliberately mechanical powertrain. At its centre sits the YD480D, a four-cylinder engine in an inline layout whose 80 mm bore and 90 mm stroke give a displacement of 1.8 litres. Combustion runs at a compression ratio of 18:1. Because the engine is naturally aspirated rather than turbocharged, the air path carries fewer moving parts and the service routine stays lean.

Engine

The YANGDONG YD480D is a 1.8 litre diesel unit arranged as four inline cylinders with an 80 x 90 mm bore and stroke. Its 18:1 compression ratio works together with a natural aspiration intake. Fuel consumption is quoted at 5.1 L/h under 100% load and 3.8 L/h under 75% load, so daily fuel planning follows directly from the load profile of the site.

Alternator and Electrical Data

The alternator operates at 400/230 V, 50 Hz, in a three-phase configuration with a 0.8 power factor. Standby (ESP) output is 20 kVA / 16.8 kW at 29 A, while prime (PRP) output is 19 kVA / 15.2 kW at 27 A. The windings use class H insulation and the housing carries an IP23 protection rating.

Canopy dimensions are 2000 x 950 x 1260 mm (L x W x H) and open type dimensions are 1700 x 950 mm (L x W); both the plant layout and the handling method are planned from these figures. The Yangdong 20 kVA model, stock code NDX-YAN-20, is of Turkish origin and comes with a 24 month warranty.
