Baudouin 440 kVA Diesel Generator
The Baudouin 440 kVA generating set is designed around a 12.54 litre, six-cylinder inline diesel engine. A bore and stroke of 127 x 165 mm gives the unit a long-stroke mechanical layout, while the 16:1 compression ratio and the turbocharged, aftercooled air path support an even combustion character under sustained load. Nidexa offers this mechanical platform in the 440 kVA standby and 400 kVA prime power class.
Engine
The prime mover is a BAUDOUIN 6M21G440/5. Its six cylinders are arranged in a single line for a total displacement of 12.54 L. Turbocharging combined with charge-air aftercooling raises the density of the intake air before combustion. Fuel consumption is stated as 85.5 L/h at full load and 63.8 L/h at 75% load.
Alternator and Electrical Data
The alternator delivers 400/230 V at 50 Hz in a three-phase configuration, rated at a power factor of 0.8. Winding insulation is class H and the protection degree is IP23.
