Perkins 220 kVA Diesel Generator: Electrical Performance and Alternator Design

The Nidexa Perkins 220 kVA generating set produces three-phase power at 400/230 V and 50 Hz. At a power factor of 0.8 it is rated 220 kVA / 176 kW with 318 A in standby (ESP) duty, and 200 kVA / 160 kW with 289 A in prime (PRP) duty. Engine

Class H covers withstand capability at high winding temperatures, while IP23 defines protection against solid objects and against water falling at an angle. Both canopied and open-type body dimensions are defined for this set. The canopied version measures 3700 x 1200 x 1900 mm (L x W x H) and the open type measures 2800 x 1200 mm (L x W), figures that govern the layout of a generator room or an outdoor pad.
