Perkins 250 kVA Diesel Generator (NDX-PER-250)
The real cost of a generating set shows up by the hour, not at the moment of purchase. This unit burns 49 litres of fuel per hour at 100% load and 38 litres per hour at 75% load. That 11-litre gap across a quarter of the load range is what shapes the annual fuel budget of a site running shifts or a variable demand profile. Ratings of 250 kVA standby (ESP) and 225 kVA prime (PRP) make it possible to size the set against actual demand.
Engine
At the core of the set is the Perkins 1206A-E70TTAG2 diesel: six cylinders in an inline arrangement and 7 litres of displacement, from a 105 x 135 mm bore and stroke, with a 16:1 compression ratio. Aspiration is turbocharged with air-to-air charge cooling, which raises the density of the air entering each cylinder and supports combustion efficiency.
Alternator and Electrical Data
Output is 400/230 V at 50 Hz, three-phase, at a 0.8 power factor. In standby the set delivers 200 kW and 361 A; in continuous duty it delivers 180 kW and 325 A. Windings carry class H insulation and the enclosure is rated IP23. The 400/230 V output suits installations feeding three-phase motor loads and 230 V single-phase circuits from the same source.
