Perkins 330 kVA Diesel Generator
The space a generator will occupy is usually fixed before its rating is chosen. The Perkins 330 kVA diesel generator measures 4000 x 1400 x 2100 mm in canopied form, while the open-type version drops to a 3000 x 1400 mm footprint and gives more freedom when laying out a plant room. Both versions produce the same 330 kVA standby rating, so the set can be placed outdoors or inside an enclosed energy room without reworking the electrical design.
Engine
Power comes from the Perkins 1506A-E88TAG5, a 6-cylinder inline engine with 8.8 litres of displacement. Bore and stroke are 112 x 149 mm and the compression ratio is 16.1:1. Aspiration is turbocharged air-to-air (Turbocharged Air-Air). Fuel consumption is stated as 65 L/hour at 100% load and 48 L/hour at 75% load.
