Fuel is the largest recurring cost across the life of any generating set, and the Perkins 66 kVA diesel generator is specified so that this cost can be worked out in advance. The set consumes 13.9 litres per hour at 100% load and 10.4 litres per hour at 75% load, a gap of 3.5 litres for every hour of operation. With 60 kVA of prime power and 66 kVA of standby power available, the load profile can be planned around the fuel budget rather than against it.

Engine

At the core of the set sits the PERKINS 1103A-33TG2, a three-cylinder inline diesel engine of 3.3 litres. Bore and stroke measure 105 x 127 mm and the compression ratio is 17.25:1. Turbocharged aspiration raises the air charge and supports combustion efficiency, which is the main reason the consumption figures stay at the stated level. Cooling capacity is given as 10.2.

Alternator and Electrical Ratings

The alternator provides a three-phase output at 400/230 V and 50 Hz. At a power factor of 0.8 this works out to 95 A in standby operation and 87 A in prime operation. The windings use class H insulation and the housing carries an IP23 protection rating.

Installation and Use

The canopied version measures 2300 x 950 x 1560 mm, while the open type frame is 2000 x 950 mm. That gives the option of installing the set as an open unit inside a plant room or as a canopied unit outdoors. The product carries the stock code NDX-PER-66, is manufactured in Türkiye and comes with a 24 month warranty.
