The Nidexa Perkins 88 kVA generating set is built around the PERKINS 1104A-44TG2, a 4.4 litre inline four-cylinder engine. A bore and stroke of 105 x 127 mm, a 17.25:1 compression ratio and a turbocharged intake define the mechanical character of the unit. On that basis the set is rated at 88 kVA standby and 80 kVA prime power.

Engine

The PERKINS 1104A-44TG2 arranges its four cylinders in an inline block. The 4.4 litre displacement comes from a 105 mm bore and a 127 mm stroke, while the 17.25:1 compression ratio keeps the diesel cycle efficient. Turbocharged aspiration feeds a denser air charge into the cylinders. Fuel consumption is 18.7 L/h at 100% load and 14 L/h at 75% load.

Alternator and Electrical Data

The alternator supplies three-phase power at 400/230 V and 50 Hz and is rated at a 0.8 power factor. Winding insulation is class H and the protection rating is IP23. Standby operation corresponds to 70.4 kW of active power at 127 A, while prime operation corresponds to 64 kW at 115 A.

The set is handled in two body configurations, canopied and open type.
